What better way to close out an Epic week of Epic Beers than an Epic tapping on the Epically Awesome Trailer Park Bar? Dave, Kevin and their crew offer up hoppy, tart, juicy, malty, and brand new for your enjoyment:
Tart & Juicy Sour IPA
Big Bad Baptist
Oak & Orchard Syrah
Oak & Orchard Pinot
For many years, the closing act of Falling Rock’s GABF has also been a true class act. Cheers and many beers to the many many years of working together! Our final tapping of 2016’s GABF Week: New Belgium’s Foeder Farm Treats and More!
Love Apple Felix
Whiskey Fat Back
Leopold Brothers Rye Porter
Love Blackberry Oscar
A) We are tapped out by 1:45 pm
B) Do Not Call The Bar! Everything you need to know is here. The people handing out tickets do not answer the phones so we cannot tell you how many tickets may be left, that number changes too quickly!
Doors will open at our usual time of 11am. As people arrive we will be issuing Tickets that allow you to purchase a glass of Pliny the Younger. There will be 2 colors of tickets; if you get the first color, relax, sit down, start a tab, get something to eat & a warm-up beer or two, you are getting a Younger, if you get the second color, well, Maybe. When it comes time to tap Younger, we will start by selling it to all of the folks with the first color; if you are seated & have a tab with a server, you can stay seated because the server will bring it to you. If you don’t have a table line up, no pushing or shoving, and get your beer.
When we finish serving all the folks with the first color we will do a last call for that color ticket then line up the second color tickets in order (they have numbers written on the back 1-??) & start serving those folks. In order to get a Pliny the Younger you need to be here before we do last call for that color of tickets (usually around 25-30 minutes after we start pouring it) or you lose your chance & we give it to the next person in line. I know it might sound a bit complex, but it’s really simple & has made our Pliny the Younger release days a lot easier, more civilized & less stressful for everyone involved as well as giving more people the opportunity to drink some truly amazing beer. Last year all the folks with the second color got a Younger, just saying.
WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING A TAB OPEN TO SPEED THIS PROCESS UP!! BETTER YET, PAY CASH! We will not close tabs during this process because no one wants to wait all day for their Younger!
You may know that each year, the owners of Russian River Brewing Company, Vinnie and Natalie Cilurzo, organize a breast cancer fundraiser called “All Hopped Up For A Cure”, which has been ongoing the last 12 years. 100% of sales from a special Russian River beer go to a local breast cancer center in their town of Santa Rosa, California. Last year they were able to donate over $100,000 to support the cause. For the 3rd year, Elite Brands has chosen to follow in the footsteps of Vinnie and Natalie with the release of “Pliny the Younger”, in what Elite hopes to be our own local, annual fundraiser. They have created this fundraiser to coincide with the release of “Pliny the Younger” to raise money for a local breast cancer center, Sense of Security**, located in Denver.
To help kick-off this amazing fundraising event, Elite Brands is donating their proceeds of the sale of each keg to Sense of Security. On our end, Falling Rock Tap House will be donating $2 for every glass of Pliny the Younger we sell. Don’t forget, we have 3 tappings worth of donations to gather! Please follow the link at the bottom of the post to add you own donation to Sense of Security as well, and help us support those around us in their fight against Breast Cancer.
**Sense of Security’s Mission is to help Colorado breast cancer patients survive financially while they are undergoing breast cancer treatment. Learn more at www.senseofsecurity.org.

We’re turning 20 this June and are celebrating in the best possible way: Great Food, Great Friends, and GREAT BEER!! If you were here for our 10th Anniversary you’ll recognize the idea: Chris has been busy brewing beers with some of our favorite breweries and old friends to customize the special tappings. We’re going ten days straight again, with several days tapping both a beer brewed in Colorado and one from elsewhere in the US.
We’re kicking the festivities off with a Dual Tapping on Friday, June 2 at 5:30pm: reprising their role from TEN years ago, Dry Dock Brewing will be sailing in with Chris’ homage to Mr. Hoppy, the beer he planned on tapping to kick off the 10th Anniversary. We are also thrilled to welcome our friends from San Diego as we tap into the Alpine/Green Flash/Cellar 3 brew We Were Here First! This was the first of the anniversary beers Chris brewed, a big, amazing and truly unique collaboration.
Throughout the remaining nine days we will also be tapping into beers brewed with:
And more to be announced!!!
Our last day of the celebration, Sunday June 11th, will feature a very special tapping of an extremely limited beer Chris brewed at Bristol Brewing in Colorado Springs.
All Weekday Brews will tap at 5:30pm, with Weekend Brews tapping at 2pm. As the beers arrive in town/at the bar and travel plans are confirmed we will finalize the schedule of events and announce which Brewery will be tapped on which day. Of course Twitter and Facebook will have continual updates as well, but we will update events here on the website each day as well.
One of the absolute best things about this celebration is spending time with the PEOPLE! Brewers, Owners, Brewery Representatives, fellow Publicans, Regulars who are a massive reason we are here, friends from around the country and around the World are coming in to celebrate with us. We can’t thank you enough for all of the love and support you have provided over the last two decades. We can’t wait to see you, raise a pint and share some stories!!
Welcome to the unOfficial Kick Off to GABF Week 2018!!! This is our 21st Tapping Party to celebrate the Greatest Beer Week. Here’s the tapping list as it is now, (hopefully nothing else will change). There’s some really special beers on here as we welcome back friends and greet new ones. We can’t wait to raise a toast with you!
