We’re working hard on gathering the beers for the Inaugural Colorado Craft Beer Week Kickoff Event here at the Falling Rock. The Event Benefits the Colorado Brewers Guild so we’ll be turning over our taps to the State of Colorado for a Night. We will close at 5pm on Monday, March 18th & switch out all of our taps in order to re-open to the ticketed public at 7pm. We have 43 breweries & 79 beers confirmed. Go to http://fallingrocktaphouse.com/category/events/ for more info & the link to purchase tickets.
So here’s a list of the participating Breweries (So Far)
Big Choice Brewing
Bull and Bush
City Star Brewing
Colorado Cider Company
Denver Beer Company
Hall Brewing Company
Left Hand Brewing
Lone Tree Brewing
Howdy! Just wanted to start the list of events we will be hosting for Colorado Craft Beer Week March 18 -24. 2013 These events are just the beginning, so keep checking back for updates! (And thanks Kyle Campbell for posting the awesome pic on Facebook!)
Monday, March 18th – Kickoff Event
We are still working on the lineup for this event but the tap wall will be taken over (for the first time ever) by Colorado Breweries. This is a ticketed event as each of the kegs is a 5 gallon pin from our Colorado brewers, but Chris has this link for you to follow to get your tickets which go on sale SATURDAY MARCH 2 at 10am:
As more details, including the lineup, get ironed out we will update the website and send out Tweets. Right now we know for sure that some old friends and new breweries are going to join us, several having their beers poured here for the very first time.
Thursday, March 21st – Dogfish Head
We’re digging into the stash of DFH beers and a few recent arrivals to put together this list. Chris and his assistant are excited to get some beers out of the cellar on this one, it makes room for more!
- Burton Baton
- My Antonia
- Black & Blue
- Red & White
Friday, March 22nd – Night of the Sours!!
Instead of devoting a night to one of these fine breweries we thought we would put together an amazing night of intense sour beers. Some are overly sour, some simply delightful and a few a bit tangy. Totally worth it for any Sour-head.
- New Belgium Clutch
- New Belgium La Folie
- New Belgium Ooh La La
- Russian River Consecration
- Russian River Sanctification
- Russian River Supplication
Much More To Be Determined…
Did you miss the 2013 Pliny The Younger action? Check out the photo gallery. A lot of the pictures were taken by our friends at Westword on 2/23/13. Check out their website at http://www.westword.com/slideshow/worlds-second-best-beer-returns-to-denver-38900807/#1
Hey Folks, Enjoying the weather? Chris is hard at work keeping the patio swept, servers are busy both upstairs and in the basement and the beer is flowing. That also means that at 1pm this afternoon #PlinyTheYounger will be flowing as well. We still have tickets available as of 12:15pm, but we have no idea how much longer they will last. Yesterday they were all gone by 12:30, but today is a bit slower due to the weather. And don’t forget Chris has something else from Russian River lined up for whenever the Younger blows.
So brave the snow and GET YOUNGER, but be safe out there ok?
UPDATE: Pliny Has Left The Building for 2013. It was an awesome run, today people got 2 and 3 PTY’s for braving the snow. Hope you had as much fun as we did, see you in 2014!
