Pliny the Younger Tapping on February 12, 2012. Chris is getting the crowd ready for some Younger!

Sunday Funday

Pliny the Younger

Join us for a Sunday full of Fun!!

1pm: Pliny the Younger Tapping!! We will open at 11 am, as usual, and will pass out tickets to ensure you get your glass of Younger. This controls the chaos and makes it a far more enjoyable release for you since you won’t have to maintain your place in a line (possibly in the cold, in the snow, on the ice…) and can sit and enjoy yourself. We’ve done this a few times (really? just a few?) and have learned from our experiences. Its a sign of intelligence, the ability to learn from ones past efforts.

4pm: Nathaniel Wright Memorial Benefit. Nathaniel was a member of Sammy Mayfield’s blues band for several years and an amazing musician. He passed away recently and we are hosting a LIVE Blues show featuring Sammy and friends to benefit Nathaniel’s family. A $15 BBQ buffet will be offered with all proceeds going to the family, and Sammy will be playing on the stage. This is a one-of-a-kind show for an excellent cause. We hope to see you!!

Have fun with us, come for the Younger and stay for the Blues!!

OK So here We Go…
the Kegs are arriving so Here’s the Schedule…
We will be tapping Pliny the Younger on Sunday, February 12th @1PM
Second Keg on Saturday February 18th @ 1pm
Last Keg on Saturday February 25th @5pm
We will open (as usual) at 11am each day. Tickets will be issued as people arrive that will allow you to purchase a beer,
this method seemed to de-stress the event last year so we’re going with that again.

We are waiting to hear from our distributor when the kegs of Younger will arrive in our cooler. And while we fully understand your eagerness, we ask that you please KEEP WATCHING THIS SITE (and TWITTER) FOR UPDATES.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE BAR!! We have gotten hundreds of calls per day in the past, and the bartenders simply do not know when we’ll tap it yet.

We will post announcements as soon as we know anything, from when the kegs will get here to when we will tap them. These announcements will be on the website, Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks for your eager support!

A while back the owners of Falling Rock, The Brothers Black, decided to celebrate the stellar job their staff did during this years GABF. What better way to celebrate than to take everyone to Euclid Hall for food, fun and plenty of drinks? Perhaps opening a 9-liter bottle of Russian River Temptation to be shared amongst our staff and those at Euclid Hall, along with 5lbs of Humboldt Fog, an amazing goat cheese that Natalie Cilurzo of Russian River swears by as a pairing to Temptation… Then we came across this article about the event, and picture of Chris with the giant bottle. One of these days, when I make room on a shelf for it, you’ll be able to walk into the bar and see it graced with our signatures. Here’s to 15 years of GABF at the Falling Rock and the staff who make it possible!!
